 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW!

FUND RAISING EVENTS VENTURE

Maroon’s Kart Systems, 309 Carver Lane, East Peoria, IL has started a new venture into the fund raising events business.  Ten race karts powered by 6.5HP Honda engines have been purchased.  This is a fun way to raise money for a charity or a cause.  Our clients and competitors include first time go-karters sampling the sport, experienced racers enjoying the challenge of close quarter racing and many professionals that participate in the thrill of racing with equipment similar to the race karts that virtually every NASCAR and Indy car racer started in.

We are in the business of providing community service organizations with a fun-filled fund-raising program. Our race direction experience enables us to provide a safe yet thrilling racing environment for beginners to professionals. These are specialized outings that can also be used for corporate team building and client entertainment.

With our special expertise, and fleet of karts and related equipment, we help businesses and civic groups to create, organize, promote and run these special events on existing kart tracks or specially developed "street circuits" and "parking lot racetracks".  They can also be used indoors during the winter months.

When a company or charity hosts an event, Maroon’s Kart Systems provides the following:

  • 10 race karts – 8 will be used for racing purposes and 2 will be used for backup.  Also provided are full kart maintenance items, (fuel, oils, lubes, etc.), parts and staff to support the karts.  Maroon’s Kart Systems guarantees that the karts provided for the event shall be in good working condition.
  • Kart transportation to and from the racetrack.
  • Complete race direction including scoring, lineups, flagman with flags, pit steward, fire extinguishers and race direction support equipment.
  • Assistance with racetrack design so that a safe track design can be prepared.
  • Cones to support track layout.
  • The host sponsor or Maroon’s Kart systems provides liability insurance for the event.  Insurance is for everyone inside the fence, which includes all racers, personnel in the pits, course workers, etc.
  • Full-face helmets and neck restraints.
  • Race promotion assistance.

The first scheduled event is a race at the eServ ePrix in Peoria, IL on Friday, September 30.  The second scheduled event is a race at the Interstate Center for Junior Achievement in Bloomington, IL on October 1.  Events are also scheduled in 2006 for both of these fund raisers.
